Our systems utilize concepts from stereo vision (autonomous cars, robotic navigation, and human depth perception) and from interferometry (fringe analysis) to produce systems that have unparalleled accuracy, precision, speed, and reliability when compared to any other 3D metrology method.

FringeScan Systems

FringeScan is designed to be a robust, high precision 3D imaging system for measuring the most sensitive of surfaces. Each system comprises of a pair of cameras (or multiple pairs) a projector, a computer, and our software interface. Just like human vision allows us to extract depth from object because of our two eyes, our systems use two cameras to extract depth from surfaces, however with far better accuracy and precision.

Calibration

As with any metrology system, it is critical to ensure accuracy. We chase the best possible accuracy for our systems by utilizing the gold standard: Grade AA granite surface flats.

Millions of Sample Points

Most stereo vision systems rely on surface features to perform matching and triangulation... but what if your surface is smooth and has no features?

The combination of a high resolution projector and our processing algorithms solves this, and as a bonus, produces millions of sample points.
